CIMS Team Wins Award from Prestigious Industry Journal

Dr. Stephen K. Markham and Dr. Mariann “Sam” Jelinek, a faculty member and academic fellow, respectively, at the Center
for Innovation Management Studies (CIMS) at NC State University, received an Honorable Mention award from the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management journal. They were recognized for their paper, “Industry-University IP Relations: Integrating Perspectives and Policy Solutions,”which was published last year.
Out of approximately 50 articles the IEEE journal ran last year, the CIMS’ team had one of the four best, according to a panel of editors. Veiw The paper online for furhter information. Dr. Markham, a former director of CIMS, also teaches at NC State’s College of Management. In addition to her appointment as a CIMS fellow, Dr. Jelinek is Richard C. Kraemer Professor at the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business.
