The IMS staff can manage a variety of program formats including: Multi-wave, multi-module, global
roll-out; certificate series; or single delivery programs targeted at one specific competency or issue.

Innovation Culture
An organization's culture, i.e. what people think is important and how they behave as a result, can boost - or detract - from its capacity to innovate. IMS participants will be exposed to the 'softer side' of innovation management e.g. they will learn the importance of knowledge sharing, networking and team communications – and how to foster it. |
Product Innovation
The globalization of markets has created a highly competitive arena where survival depends on a continuous stream of successful new products. The IMS provides participants with a systematic way for conceiving of, planning, and developing attractive new products i.e. ones that will create competitive advantage. |
Services Innovation
Today services account for almost 75% of the jobs in economically advanced countries. Even in less developed countries like China (35%), there is strong mandate by their Ministry of Education to advance their service industry in order to be a catalyst for innovation. IMS participants will get a new perspective on the services industry - not just information on revenue, numbers, competitors, but also a historical view of the disruptive innovations and events that shape the industry. Students learn how to match talent and technology to business problems. Most important, they will learn how to design and model robust new service platforms. |
Solution Innovation
In a quest to streamline operations, customers are frequently asking for total solutions to their business need. They not only want attractive new products and services, they want these offerings integrated and tailored to their specific businesses -- and supported anywhere in the world. The sheer scale and complexity of these offerings presents another level of difficulty to management teams often forcing them to partner with other firms in order to please customers. In the IMS participants learn to deal with these and other issues unique to this area / level of innovation. |
Business Model Innovation
For former product-based companies the transition to a services and/or a solutions-led business has a significant impact on their business model. The value proposition changes from product ‘speeds and feeds’ to business acumen and specialized skills that enhance a client’s competitive position. IMS participants will learn why this ‘co-production’ development model is so important to building strategic control points that are hard to copy. |
